Pura Goa Lawah also known as in English ‘Bat Cave Temple’ is on the eastern shores of Bali in the district of Dawan. Being a coastal based temple the surronding offer amazing views to Nusa Penida island which lays just off the coast.
The temples roof is shrouded with bats that have made the cave its local residence. The noise is deafening but it is a sight to behold. Other smaller creatures make the temple its home but play second fiddle to the local fruit bats who call the temple their home.
